Day 52: Last Day in America

Joel and I woke up in the car again for the first time in forever. Although there had been lots of noise and light I sleep beautifully. We got the car ready to leave and headed into the casino for some teeth brushing and bathroom time.

Our first stop for the day was in Providence. We drove over to benefit street and appreciated the old houses. Apparently it is the street with the highest concentration of historical houses in America. We took some pictures and drove around for a bit appreciating it. The houses were old and very nice indeed.

After Providence we headed to Boston. Our plan there was to go and take a look at the USS Constitution. A very old ship from the American navy. So we drove around Boston for a while Nd found a parking spot. When we hopped out of the car we headed to the museum. It was a free museum that was actually quite nice. Lots of information on the navy and very famIly friendly. The upstairs floor was all about joining the navy. So Joel and I went through the process of joining the navy and looking at the food you would eat as well as a quick rest in the hammock.

After spending some time in the museum we headed to the USS Constitution for a free guided tour. Our tour guide was a young man from the navy who had been serving for six years. We saw three different levels, each had about a 10 min explanation about what it was used for as well as some history of the ship. It was really a fun tour.

After Boston we kept heading north to Maine. The rest of the day was driving, and as we didn't want to drive down toll roads we headed along more country streets. It was nice to see all the old and small towns that littered the coast. Eventually we found our first Tim Hortons of the trip! And it was delicious!! I was so excited for the best ice cap ever!

After the ice cap we decided to head for dinner at chipotle, possible the last one on the trip. And that was amazing as well! So yummy! Can't wait to have another one! Maybe in Vancouver?

We headed down the road again to a Walmart in Bangor in Maine. There was an area set aside for trucks and cars with surveillance. So we hunkered down and fell asleep! And man it was cold! Someone even told us it was supposed to snow tomorrow, hopefully not! But tomorrow is Canada and I can't wait!
