Day 28: Malls and Downtown Streets

Joel and I headed to Dallas today to do some important western wear shopping. But before we headed off, we were lucky enough to get another great breakfast from our host! Definitely getting spoiled!

After a delicious meal we showered (got to get that in as much as possible!) packed and headed down the open road to Dallas (which is only like an hour away!)

The driving was on major highways which meant lots of cars and lots of fast food. Not really the open road we were getting used to....

We stopped three times. Once for a mall, where we just pocked around. Second and third were western stores. Joel was looking for a new western belt and a belt buckle. I was looking for a pony from the Trail of Painted Ponies. Joel found what he wanted, I did not. It was still fun to look at all the boots, hats, and plaid!

When we got to Dallas we were still a little early to meet up with our coach surfer for the night so we went to mega mall in downtown. It was a big and gorgeous mall. We walked around and looked at all the stores we had missed for so long!

When it was about 6 o'clock we headed to our coach surfers house for the night. He was a nice guy, very chill. It was a night of Internet and tv. Some talking and exchanging stories. We learned about Mars-One, a Dutch project to see people to live on Mars ( go Dutch!). We headed to bed at about 11, we had an early morning tomorrow because we are headed to Houston and the Space Center!
